Burgers V 2.0:

David and I made burgers last week. Our first documented attempt at burgers included Red Gold diced tomatoes and chipotle peppers with ground sirloin.

This time around, we used Rotel, diced tomatoes and green chilies.

Great minds must think alike, because Liz made some very tasty sounding burgers recently as well.

David likes to use the modified smash burger technique, putting the burgers in our seasoned grilling pan and letting the little meat balls sit and cook on one side, before turning them over and “smashing” them.

David smaaaaash!
We added the cheese..

yummy cheese

mustard and ketchup

the finished product

David couldn’t get over the fabulous Duchesse De Bourgogne he had at the Dilly Deli, so he had that with his burger.

  2. Nicely done. I'm a fan of the "Smash" manouvre myself. As long as you rest the meat.

Oh, and I loved the fancy condiment distribution. :)

  3. Thanks Jeff!

In our relationship, David cooks, and I arrange things on the plate and drizzle condiments in an abstract fashion.

    It works out well. :)

  6. I may be a germaphobe or whatever but that "seasoned pan" just looks dirty to me.
